Through His Blood
Our Holiness
1John 3:5
And ye know that he was manifested
to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
"Manifested" is from the Greek verb phaneroo also meaning: appear, make known, make visible, bring to light.

Holy in Heaven
Jesus Christ picked up his cross
to take away my sins
So to heaven with its host;
I holily entering in (Eph.5:27).
Holy on earth
Now in Christ I hide; no fear,
Where are my sins deleted. (2Cor.5:21, Heb.10:16-17).
May that truth in me shine clear, (Gal.2:20)
And not His work impeded. (Phil.2:13).
For 'round me hangs conquered flesh,
Torn by Calv'ry's spikes and blows, (Gal.5:24),
Flapping winds of vanquished land, (Jn.16:33,
1Jn.5:4),
Loathing to let go the hold (Gal.5:17).

The Prophetic Shadow
In Leviticus 16:7-10, two goats were selected and presented by Aaron before the door of the tabernacles so all might see them. One goat was slain as a sin offering, declaring how the Son would become the sinless substitute sacrifice for my sin (Heb.9:22) (Is.53:4-6, 10-11). The other goat was the scapegoat which was
presented alive before the Lord and then driven into the wilderness, representing how the resurrected Christ was proof that my sins have been removed from me as far as the east is from the west (Ps.103:12, Rom.4:25). Together, these goats prophetically and typologically represent how Jesus is the basis for both our peace with God and our holiness in His eyes (Rom.3:23-26).
