I will walk in you and be your God Leviticus 6:12
Words-in-the-Flesh
1John 4:9
I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake. I write to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the wicked one. I write to you, little children, because you have known the Father. I have written to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one. (click for context)
"I write to you...I have written to you" (the words of the Father)
Jesus, as the Word Made Flesh, was sent to make us 'little words-in-the-flesh'; just as Christian means 'little Christs'
Jesus receives the words of the Father:
But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.' Luke 4:4
And sets His heart to those words:
And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. John 17:19
As He passes the Father's words along to us:
Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. For I have given to them the words which You have given Me... John 17:7-8a
The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. John 14:10
so that we might receive those words:
...and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me. John 17:8b
and pass along the word of the Father to others:
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word John 17:20
And together have our hearts and minds increasingly imbued with those words:
Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. John 17:17
And so be one with God as Jesus is one with the Father:
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. John 17:21
And join Jesus in the mutual glorification between the Father and Son, the Father as the Architect of all things and Jesus Christ as the builder of all things:
I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. John 17:4
And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. John 17:10
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: John 17:22
And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. John 17:5
